Arrived in Ica and a taxi was ready to take us to Huacachina for 6 soles, it's not even worth your while trying to haggle, the 15km journey cost less then 1.50euro, only problem with Peruvian taxi's is any man and a shed of a car is a taximan. This however was the first taxi in months that had working seatbelts and it felt almost unnatural wearing them!
We arrived in Huacachina and our accommodation we wanted to stay in was a little too high for Peruvian standards, we looked at another place, WORST shithole I've ever seen, I didn't get a good vibe off the place and he was practically giving the rooms away.
Our taximan 'knew' a nice place with a pool that was cheap so he said he'd take us there for free, when he arrived I saw the owner hand him a couple of bob, fair play as he did bring us to a lovely place as you can see in the pictures, all for the grand total of 9euro each a night! The place is surrounded by an Oasis (see my panoramic picture post) massive dunes, where people board down and go on dune buggy trips...which is what we'll be doing tomorrow!
