Potosi to Uyuni

We left Potosi this morning for Uyuni, we'd booked a supposidely nice bus through a travel agent. When we arrived there was an amazing bus waiting, this was the 11:30 bus. So we waited and this yellow piece of crap came in (same company as the nice bus) with Crazy 5 star on the front..obviously the star rating is based on he crapiness of the bus. We got on the bus and were told we were in seats 2 & 9, I showed her our ticket and she said it was for "the other bus", I told her we weren't moving, she pulled the Spanish card and Tina reiterated it in Spanish! So she moved on and put 2 people who weren't even together in the seats that she asked us to move in...it gets better, she asked us to move into the seats directly in front of us..Tina blurted in Spanish whats the difference between sitting here and there, it's 2 seats at the end of the day, she made a face and moved the last 2 people into those seats..The mind boggles!

It does actually get worse, the bus pulled over for 25 minutes every hour, with the driver getting under the bus with a spanner to fix the brakes! This happened 6 or 7 times, it got really annoying as the German people on the bus had to get off EVERY time and delayed everyone wandering up hills taking pictures, it got to the stage where they would let them off and locked the door!

We finally arrived in Uyuni after over 7 hours. Not the worst journey, but definately up there. We were going to book our 3 day 2 night salt flat tour, but postoned it by a day after that headwrecking journey.
