Pampas - Day 2

We got up this morning and went anaconda spotting, managed to spot 2 small ones but they can get to 7 metres long with the head the size of a dog! After which we went down the river for some wildlife spotting and back to the lodge for a siesta.

Later we headed out piranha fishing, we caught a couple of them but I unfortunately wasn't able to reel one in, they are very quick! We headed back, as it took a while to get here we saw some more wildlife, a couple of parrots, a sloth and some more monkeys were just some of the wildlife lurking around the pampas. Our guide fried up a couple of the piranhas for us and they were delicious!

After dinner most of our group retreated to their mosquito nets, but as it was only 7:30 , I endured the mozzied and stayed up with the other Irish couple and we ended up drinking with some Danes and singing a dodgy rendition of the Wild Rover! We've a 5:30 start in the morning and the heat at night is unbelievable..I woke up stuck to the bed!
