Another somewhat unusual day, we started in Asakusa and walked around the streets, their was a nice temple close by where people would cover themselves in smoke before entering. We headed towards the Asahi building that somewhat resembles a beer.
Next stop is Ueno Park, a nice walk and then we got one of those swan peddle boats and done a half an hour on the boat. We head to akihabara electronic city, what a place we went into the Yodobashi a building crammed full of every gadget known to man..I lost Tina on one of the floors and it took nearly an hour to find her! We walked down the district and I went into a few of the game shops, everything from SNES and PS1's to retro Gameboys, the big blockie ones! I wandered into one of the Anime shops and boy are Japanese boys perv's! The cartoon comics for 18's don't leave alot to the imagination..It's a wonderful place to look at at night.
So we went into one of these Pachinko places, what a mad house..incase your wondering what pachinko, it's a game where you load aload of ball bearings into in order to win more, as the Japanese government banned cash prizes, so they get a gift and exchange it next door for cash! I love loopholes! There was grannies in this place with about 20 tubs of ball bearings stacked around them! Hilarious..also it was noisy as hell in there 100db or more those machines much be putting out.
Tokyo such a huge city even getting from 1 area to the other takes a long time..but it's certainly got character.
