Wellington to Picton and Nelson via Fur Seals

We woke up this morning at 9:00 am and it was only ourselves and another car in the car park, however it seemed that a couple of people were wide to the 'ta papa' overnighter as the car park had an abundance of campers the night before, we done a bit of what wellington has to offer before we had to catch our 14:05pm Ferry to Picton on the South Island, we took a trip down to Sinclair Bay and went to see the fur seals, it was a good walk to their sanctuary (over an hour) which doubles up as a 4x4 track, when I arrived I was reading the rule placard about how close to get to the seals, etc and there was one just under the sign, I jumped back and said "Jesus" and the seal got a fright when he saw me as well, but he was too cosy to move on. We walked back to the Van and headed for the Ferry to the South Island which is 3 hours but seemed like it was no time at all, there was some nice views off the boat.

We then went to the windy road to Nelson which is 140kms from Picton, this highway was like a scaletrix track, unbelievable...especially driving it under the guise of darkness.
