Ollantaytanbo

Today we headed to Ollantaytanbo we ended up getting a collectivo with 7 othe Peruvians at the cost of 10 soles each (EUR2.50) but only us and another person went the full distance to Ollantaytanbo. The driver was a bit of a nutter but that seems to be a perquisite in Peru! Overtaking on corners seems to be the done thing here, at least we had seat belts.

We arrived in Ollantaytanbo from Cusco in about 2 hours and the place is well worth seeing, its an absolutely beautiful town with Inca ruins on the hill, we decided to come here and make our way to Machu Picchu as it's a long day otherwise.

We picked up a couple of Devil balaclavas, apparently the Incas wore these to spook people (or so I've heard)..That's a gift sorted for my brother anyway!
