1770 Agnes Water

We spent 2 nights in this so called sleepy town on the east coast is actually one of the nicest places we've visited so far in Australia. We stayed at 'Cool Bananas' hostel which I really can't say enough about, the guy who owns it Greg is a born host, he can't do enough fopr you, that and they have a $2 slice of heaven being a banana and chocolate cake! The place is so well looked after I don't think it deserves to be coined with the term hostel.

On to the interesting stuff...we met a few of our Fraser island comrades up here and done a bit of choppering around the town, these are scooter type bikes that look like choppers, so were basically going through the town like a massive bikie gang, the tour itself is 3 hours and covers 70kms of track. We finish up watching the sunset at the beach with a bowl of wedges! These bikes are such fun to drive and they are no means slow I got 90kmph out of mine and they're limited to 80! That's is of course unless you are Tina who managed to be the slowest biker of the day, so slow in fact she overtook the entire group when we had pulled in!!! 100% Do this if you are on the east coast, best value package there is.

Other then the above we soaked up some rays on Agnes Water beach...Work! who needs Work!!

Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday islands await now and a 10 hour overnight bus journey :(
