The Road to Jervis Bay....

Collected the rental car at 3pm and was offered the upgrade to the saloon so I says why not! Friday 4: 30 pm-ish and a 250km journey to Jervis Bay, Myself, Tina and our flatmate / comrade Laura were making the trip to Jervis via the rat race that is Friday evening traffic. It took an hour to move about 25kilolmetres!! but there was an accident that had just been cleared that held everything up.

We'd a small incident of the way , the plastic mud guard in side the arch of the car came off on the Princes Highway while I was doing 120kmph and jammed against the tyre, and I'd to hit the hazards and cut across 3 lanes into the hard shoulder!...not one for the faint hearted .I initially thought e'd gotten a blowout but as I drove off the mud guard came loose and is now somewhere on the motorway! We arrived in Jervis and eventually found the National Park and as soon as we went through the gate there was a Kangaroo just perched in the bushes, He looked at us with a brazen head!

Next was the rocky road to The Bay of Plenty Lodges!! It was a road that would rival roads in places like Calcutta and Leitrim! 13.5 kms of bends, moon crater pot holes and Kangaroos jumping in front of you to add to the mix!!

The cabin was lovely 2 bedroom, Kitchen, Bathroom, TV DVD & all mod cons!

All in all it took us around 4 hours to get to the place and a well deserved drink and a chill out for the night was in order.

The infamous arch minus splash guard
